Founder Michael T. Swinney
Founder and Member, Michael T. Swinney, is a native of Hamlet, North Carolina. He is a graduate from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke with a Bachler of Science Degree in
Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. Chairman Swinney is the franchise owner and operator of One Stop Barbershop with locations in Raeford and Hope Mills N.C., and he is the current Director of Education at One Stop Academy School of Barbering in Hope Mills, N.C.
Mr. Swinney has been in the barbering industry for 16 years. He is a strong and passionate advocate for the training, educating and continuous evolution of today’s barber. Michael Swinney's motto is this, “We are many members but one body!” He believes that for us to succeed and prosper as an industry of professional barber stylist, we must learn to not only work together but also advocate for our communities and issues that directly affect the barbers, barbershops and barbering schools within our great state of North Carolina.
